Above is my "review" of the Pre-Calculus course ACE offers and suggestions for alternatives or for trying to succeed if you must do it.

Send me any resources or tips *YOU* have as you work through it, and I will post them here!

Someone from a school that does require their students to do this course found that THIS website was very helpful – desmos.com.  It is FREE to use!  (Thanks for that tip from Immanuel Baptist in Decatur, Texas!)

Tip from a student who completed the course:

“When finding angles in  degrees then minutes.  use the arc function on your calculator.   If given  csc, sec, or cot, first convert to sin, cos, or tan.   When the answer is given, take the number of degrees. (I recommend six decimal places for the decimal of degrees but 4 decimal places when converting csc, sec, or cot to sin, cos, or cot.  Multiply the decimal by 60, then round to the nearest minute.

“The course wasn’t too hard.  But due to outdated methods, it looked a lot challenging. If you find a modern alternative to get the same answer, it is actually a bit easier.

“The ChatGPT suggestion helped me in a lot of ways when trying to find a modern approach to outdated material.  Using it as a tutor, I was able to understand and master what was taught.”  (Herben Criswell)
